plays the studious scientist who isn't at least interested in action or fighting while he secretly put on the mask of Zorro and courts Victoria, the lovely tavern owner.

Victoria Escalante

is a fiery Tavern owner who is always the first to oppose any injustice. This brings her into trouble, but she has faith in Zorro to rescue her. She loves Zorro deeply without known that he is her best friend Diego who seems to have no interest in her and angers her with his inaction.

Alejandro de la Vega

Like Victoria he is a passionate fighter against injustice and can not  understand his son Diego who is much too indifferent and studious for his taste. He admires Zorro and wishes his son to be more like him.

Felipe

Diego found the orphaned boy who became mute and deaf after the tragic loss of his parents at the age of six. Only Diego knows that he regained his hearing and he is the only one who knows Zorro's identity. After Diego's return from Spain Felipe became Zorro's secret helper. Over the years the bond between Diego and Felipe grows closer, more like father and son than patron and servant.

De Soto's main goal in life is to return home to Madrid in fame for capturing Zorro. He tries all tricks to capture him and won't give up even after Zorro saved his life.

Mendoza is the bumbling soldier with a good heart. He considers Diego his friend, but also Zorro who saved his life several times. His main interest in life is food.
